CONTAINER | BREAK BULK

Flat beds or trailers with sides allow us to cater to both container or break bulk cargo. With our large fleet of trucks we can offload large consignments of breakbulk straight from the port and shunt into ICD's or straight onto a safari.

Golden Group expanded its operations to include An OOG, Heavy Lift and Equipment Placement Service. Our Rigging & Heavy Lift Manager has been hired and we are currently upgrading our equipment to provide these services to our established and future Clients.

• With our specialized transport equipment we can handle both oversized and overweight loads up to 150 tonnes
• We also arrange for the various permits and fees along with Police (or other) escort requirements for OOG loads
• For over-height loads we contact TANESCO and/or TTCL for the lifting of power or phone lines
• Where restrictions such as low or narrow bridges are encountered we have found alternate routes through our Route Risk Assessment

We transport dangerous goods across our global network, adhering to rigorous standards to ensure the health and safety of staff and the general public. Our specialized vehicles and expertly trained staff enable us to transport all nine classes of dangerous goods.

route risk assessment

It must be ensured that transportation be done in a safe and responsible manner and without any undue risk to the general public, the environment or the cargo. Therefore we complete Route Risk Assessments on all routes before using the routes. We consider the following Criteria:

• Population Density
• Spill & impact potential for DG’s
• Infrastructure conditions
• Proximity to Water Bodies
• Safe & Secure park-ups
• Bridge & Culvert Loadings

With these practices in place we believe that we can ensure safe transport of cargo and also meet the legal requirements and International “best practices” standards. Route Risk Assessments are performed at regular intervals. Maps are included to enhance the information for drivers & escorts.

cyanide shipment

We have been moving cyanide since 2004 and have been audited for cyanide. We have trained personell and conduct training refreshers every month. A spill response kit and team will follow each convoy of cyanide shipments.
